He can’t wait to meet you, and you can start getting to know Dr. Wuthnow below.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Wuthnow decided to pursue dentistry in his early teens. His grandfather and mother were dentists, so he literally grew up around dentistry. As a teenager, he began to work alongside his mom and developed a passion for creating smiles. He loves helping people improve themselves as well as restoring things that may be broken or have lost their luster--dentistry provides an avenue to do both.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Wuthnow graduated from Pittsburg State University before going on to earn his dental degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.

Since then, he has rigorously pursued continuing education focused on both dental techniques and technology so he can offer the most up-to-date options for his patients. Over the years, he has completed courses for:

  • Straight wire orthodontics
  • Dental implant restoration
  • CEREC
  • Sirona ecosystem
  • Digital dentistry/treatment planning
  • 3D printing
  • Invisalign
  • Laser dentistry

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When he isn’t working, Dr. Wuthnow enjoys spending time with his wife (Chelsea) and their children (Graham and Allie), playing at the park or swimming when Texas gets a little warm. His hobbies include smoking BBQ and tinkering to restore/fix things. You’ll often find him in the garage working on a project or figuring out how to fix something in the house.

Even though Dr. Wuthnow has been around dentistry his entire life, all of his upbringing took place on a working farm. Most of his childhood memories involve helping his dad get crops in the ground and harvest. He worked from sun up to sun down--a strong work ethic and always doing the right thing at the right time was instilled in him from a very young age.
